Tatto Removal By Q-Switch
- TATTOO REMOVAL USING Q-SWITCHED LASERS IS A COMMON AND EFFECTIVE METHOD TO ELIMINATE OR SIGNIFICANTLY FADE UNWANTED TATTOOS. THE TERM “Q-SWITCHED” REFERS TO THE LASER’S ABILITY TO PRODUCE SHORT BURSTS OR PULSES OF HIGH-ENERGY LIGHT IN THE NANOSECOND (BILLIONTH OF A SECOND) RANGE. THESE SHORT BURSTS OF ENERGY ARE CRUCIAL FOR BREAKING DOWN TATTOO INK PARTICLES INTO SMALLER FRAGMENTS, WHICH THE BODY’S IMMUNE SYSTEM CAN THEN NATURALLY ELIMINATE OVER TIME.
- Laser Application: During the procedure, the Q-switched laser is directed at the tattooed area. The laser emits short, intense pulses of light that pass through the skin’s outer layer (epidermis) and selectively target the tattoo ink particles in the deeper layers of the skin (dermis).
